Hawaii en Krontjongmelodieën - Orkest Bert van de Broek

After the second World War the Hawaii- and Krontjong-music was very popular in The Netherlands. Hundreds of music groups played almost the same repertoire and often musicians changed from one band to another or even played in several bands. Krontjong music was music from Indonesia (a longtime Dutch colony) were local people played sweet music from probably Portugese origin.

This album from the Orchestra of Bert van de Broek (no information to be found anywhere...??) with vocals of The Minstreels (hardly any information...) is just one of the many Dutch Hawaii- and Krontjong releases. Strangely, the cover only mentions 7 tracks on the A-side, but there are 8 (for the same price!). I think the "forgotten" song is the 7th track and called "Mijn Mooi Tahiti".
